Frontage improvements close portion of El Camino Real
BY STAFF REPORT --
AUGUST 15, 2007
Storm drain and
sewer main installation for the Colony Square project will close one northbound
lane of El Camino Real from Morro Road to Atascadero Creek beginning today.
The lane will remain closed for approximately three weeks when it will be opened
on a narrowed basis, public works director Steve Kahn said.
Northbound traffic will be directed into the remaining lane and pedestrian and
bicyclists will be provided access through the construction area. The public
works department asks that motorists look for construction traffic control and
signage for direction.
“Updates will be provided as the project progresses and traffic impacts change,”
a release issued by the city read.
Construction on the mixed-use development project is set to begin in the fall,
followed by nine months of work until the project’s estimated completion.
